Who we serve

Your next chapter.
Your kind of planning.

For high-net-worth retirees thinking beyond their lifetime and manufacturing owners preparing for life beyond the business.

01 / Retirees, families & legacy

You’ve built the wealth.
What should it make possible?

When you have more than you expect to spend, the conversation changes. You may be thinking about the next generation, the causes you care about, and how to make decisions that reflect your values.

Talk about your family’s priorities ↗

Questions worth making room for

  • How do we support our children without taking away their independence?
  • What might our investment decisions mean for the people who inherit this wealth?
  • How do our estate documents, tax decisions, and accounts fit together?
  • What do we want our giving to accomplish, now and later?

Our family work focuses on legacy, giving, and the decisions around wealth you may never spend. If your main concern is whether your money will last, let’s first talk about whether this practice fits the help you need.

FAMILY

A shared understanding.

Explore how you want to support the people who matter to you, and what they may need to understand about the plan.

LEGACY

Decisions that connect.

Consider investments, estate planning, charitable intentions, and tax considerations together with your professional team.

PERSPECTIVE

Keep the purpose in view.

Review market changes in the context of your priorities and the people your decisions may affect.

02 / Manufacturing owners

The business is part of your life.
The exit should be part of your plan.

You have employees counting on you, a family with its own hopes, and a business that still needs you every day. An exit may be three to ten years away, but the questions are already here.

You don’t need all the answers to start.

  • Who might eventually take over, and does someone in the family actually want to?
  • How could a transition affect the employees who helped build this?
  • What would life look like after you step away?
  • How do your personal finances, retirement plan, and tax considerations connect to an exit?

Our focus starts with owners of closely held businesses, especially manufacturers in Northeast Ohio. We help manufacturing owners think ahead while there is still time to consider their options.

We plan for the exit; we do not list your business for sale. If you are already under a letter of intent, the planning window for this work may have passed. We’ll be direct about whether we can help.

Finding the right fit

A conversation before a commitment.

Most family relationships begin with an introduction from someone they trust. Many owners come to us after starting—and pausing—exit planning. Wherever you begin, we first want to understand the decisions you face and the kind of relationship you are looking for.

Do we need to be in Northeast Ohio?

Ohio is home, and Northeast Ohio is our starting point for business owners. We also welcome conversations with families and owners elsewhere in the country. Availability of services depends on the applicable registrations and your circumstances.

Can you work with our CPA and attorney?

Yes. Coordination with your existing professional team is part of our planning process. Your CPA and attorney provide the tax and legal advice within their respective roles.

Do I need to be ready to sell my business?

No. This work begins before a transaction is urgent. You may still be deciding whether to sell, transition to family, or pursue another path. We start with the questions, not an assumed outcome.

Let’s talk it through

Start with what matters to you.

Tell us about the family or business decisions on your mind. We can talk about whether working together makes sense.
